The International Packaging Press Organisation (IPPO) has announced its newly elected Board for the 2026–2029 term, with the appointments timed to coincide with interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
International Packaging Press Organisation members have re-elected Lindy Hughson as President for a further three-year term.
Joining Hughson on the new Board is Tim Sykes, who has been elected Vice President, succeeding Naresh Khanna in the role.
Lisa Pierce has been re-elected Secretary General, while Dominique Huret has been re-elected Treasurer.

The newly elected Board will lead IPPO through a significant period in the organisation’s evolution, following its recent transition to a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG) structure in the UK — a move designed to provide a stronger governance framework and support the long-term future of the global organisation.
Founded more than 50 years ago, IPPO brings together packaging journalists and editors from around the world, fostering international collaboration, knowledge exchange, and industry dialogue across packaging, processing, sustainability, innovation, and policy.
Speaking following the announcement, Hughson said she was honoured to continue serving as President alongside a highly experienced international team.
“I am delighted to be continuing in the role of President and to be working alongside such a high-calibre Board representing some of the world’s leading packaging media brands and voices,” said Hughson.
“IPPO plays an important role in connecting packaging journalists globally, encouraging the exchange of ideas and insights across markets, and supporting informed industry dialogue at a time of enormous change for the packaging sector.
“Our mission remains focused on fostering international cooperation, professional integrity, and knowledge sharing across the global packaging media community. As packaging industries worldwide navigate major shifts in sustainability, regulation, circularity, digitalisation and automation, IPPO provides a valuable platform for collaboration and perspective.”
The Board appointments were announced during interpack 2026, where IPPO members from across Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and Oceania have gathered for networking events and industry activities during the world’s largest packaging and processing trade fair.
Under the new Board, IPPO is expected to continue strengthening its international engagement activities, including member networking at major global exhibitions and conferences, while further developing its role as a forum for independent packaging media worldwide.
