Paul Caprio has been named president of Engel North America.

Caprio, who has 30 years of experience in the plastics machinery market, will manage the sales and service subsidiary of the Austria-based injection moulding machine builder together with chief executive Mark Sankovitch.

“We are very pleased to have Paul Caprio join our team in the US and Canada,” said Dr Christoph Steger, chief strategy officer of Engel Holding in Austria. “He brings extensive experience that will only add to our successful team in York, Pennsylvania.”

Mark Sankovitch has been the president and chief executive of Engel North America since 2009 and continues as chief executive of North America with the plan to retire by the end of 2021.

“It is a privilege to have two industry experts like Mark Sankovitch and Paul Caprio work together for two years,” added Steger.
