IPPO Welcomes Cory Connors as New Member

The International Packaging Press Organisation (IPPO), a not-for-profit group of

packaging journalist, editors and content producers writing for leading packaging media platforms around the globe, has voted in its newest member – Cory Connors.

Based in the USA, Connors has been in the packaging industry for 26 years, and in the last three years has become an avid producer of packaging-related content focused on social media and podcasting.

He is host of the highly successful Sustainable Packaging podcast, which launched just a few years ago and has already exceeded 47,000 downloads. He is also the editor of the online Sustainable Packaging newsletter, which racked up over 5,000 subscribers within two weeks of launching.

Connors is also active on TikTok, where he has just passed 88,000 followers of his entertaining posts on sustainable packaging.

IPPO president Lindy Hughson said, “On behalf of the Board, and the wider IPPO membership, I am delighted to welcome Cory to our ranks. Packaging media production has entered a new era, with multimedia channels catering to the variety of ways in which our audiences choose to consume information. As journalists today, we need to deliver engaging content across video, audio, print and digital communications. Cory’s skills will be an asset to the IPPO group.

“Cory joins some of the finest packaging journalists and editors from around the world who make up our IPPO fraternity. We welcome him to our community and look forward to working with to build awareness of IPPO, and to disseminate news on sustainable packaging.”

On hearing the news, Connors said, “I am honoured to be a part of this great organisation and I am committed to being a resource for IPPO to help the association grow and engage with the world of packaging.”

Connors and Hughson have recorded a session on his Sustainable Packaging podcast, talking about IPPO, the trade show interpack, and sustainable packaging. The podcast will go live in July on LinkedIn and other podcast platforms.
