Flexible packaging converter Parkside has entered into a partnership with French packaging supplier and distributor Stratus Packaging, whereby the latter will work with Parkside on all small runs of compostable packaging and become the sole manufacturer and distributor of Parkside products in France and Switzerland.
Francois Xavier Allilaire, sales and marketing director at Stratus, said: “This partnership will allow us to approach the flexible packaging market in France and Switzerland with a niche product. This is the right time and place to be able to offer such a product on the market when customers are so environmentally conscious.”
Parkside has wanted to expand in the French market for some time and is keen to be at the forefront of certified home compost solutions, according to sales and marketing director Paula Birch.
