The Irish Packaging Society (TIPS) is dedicated to supporting packaging professionals across the island of Ireland.

The Irish Packaging Society, (formerly the Institute of Packaging Ireland), is affiliated with the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) in the United Kingdom and the regional UK Packaging Societies that make up the IOM3 Packaging Group.

We are keen for everyone on the island of Ireland — involved with specifying, manufacturing, packing, filling, converting, retailing, brand management, new product development, material testing, and other areas — to become members of The Irish Packaging Society. With membership you will benefit from our networking, support, problem-solving, education, and training opportunities.

Membership: Our members are packaging professionals. We now also have a Corporate Membership offering, where Convertor companies, Retailers, and Packer / Fillers, can also support our good work and involve key players from their organisations.

Benefits of Membership: Networking, International Links, Training Courses, Member’s Only Section of the Website, Exclusive invitation to TIPS Events, Webinars, and Factory Tour events.

Covering areas such as: Antimicrobial / Antibacterial Films, Traceability & Serialization, Shelf Life/Spoilage, Condition Monitoring, Smart Materials, New Materials & Technologies, Sustainability vs Food Waste, Recycle/Re-use, Anti-counterfeit, and Tamper Evidence.

We believe smart packaging is a key part of the future. Incorporating cutting edge technology can support a more sustainable approach (Refill, Reuse, Return, Recycle).
